Melissa Dawn Campbell Greene, 53, Elizabethton passed away Saturday, October 14, 2017 at her residence. Born October 2, 1964 in Elizabethton to John Campbell and the late Peggy Carolyn Snodgrass Campbell. Melissa was a graduate of Unaka High School. She was General Manager of Taco Bell, West Market Street, Johnson City. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a brother, Scott Campbell, Maternal Grandmother, Louise Sammons, Her Maternal Grandfather, Worley Snodgrass and her Paternal Grandparents: Ralph & Myrtle Campbell. Melissa was an avid UT Football fan. She was a member of the Lynn Valley Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 27 years: Ray Greene, Three Daughters: Brittiney Greene & Will Thomason, Bethany Greene & Matt Lumpkin, and Brianna & Hunter Pierson. One Brother: Jon Campbell, Corpus Christi, Texas. Two Sisters: Renee Wilson, Elizabethton and Julie Presley, Knoxville. A Granddaughter: Ella Rae Lumpkin and one on the way. Several nieces & nephews.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dennis Wilson officiating. Graveside Service and Interment will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 18, 2017 in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active Pallbearers who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 10:20 a.m. Wednesday will be: Hunter Pierson, Matt Lumpkin, Will Thomason, Jordan Oakes, Mark Greene, Jeff Greene, Jon Campbell and Willie Durrill. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Carson Campbell, Brandon Campbell, John Campbell, Jared Campbell, Red McCracken, Billy Nelson and Kirk Allen. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Friends may also visit with the family at her residence.
