Thelma Ann Letterman Grindstaff, 70, Elizabethton passed away Sunday, March 4, 2018 in the Johnson City Medical Center. A native of Unicoi County, she was a daughter of the late George & Beeda Phillips Letterman. She had lived in Elizabethton for several years. Thelma had worked at several restaurants in the area. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Tex Grindstaff, a daughter: Deana Hawkins and a brother: Junior Letterman. She was a member of Caldwell Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter: Tina Hawkins, Elizabethton. Two Sisters: Kathleen Lewis, Farmville, Virginia and Sonja Huskins & husband Bob, Erwin. One Brother: Lawrence Letterman, St. Petersburg, Florida. Several nieces & nephews. Her special friends: Joann Reed.
Graveside Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 8, 2018 in Happy Valley Memorial Park with Pastor Doug Hinshaw officiating. Burial will follow the service Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 1:50 p.m. Thursday.
