Harry “Sarry” Thomas Woods, 83, Elizabethton passed away Friday, October 6, 2017 at the Johnson City Medical Center. A native of Carter County, he was the son of the late Garce & Carrie Elizabeth Greenway Woods. In addition to his parents, Mr. Woods was also preceded in death by six brothers, George, Howell, Glen, Jack, Kyle “Tip”, and William Woods and three sisters, Virginia Wood, Lois Beasley, and Sue Webb. Harry was a dairy farmer at family owned Woods Brothers Dairy Farm. He was a member of Borderview Christian Church. Mr. Woods served his country in the United States Army.
Survivors are his beloved wife of 55 years, Linda Guy Woods of the home and loving son William Job Woods and his wife Kimberlyn of Bluff City, TN. He was also an adopted Grandpa to Elsa, Linda, and Abagail Espino. He was also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, October 9, 2017 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Mr. Scott Fisher minister officiating. Music will be provided by Ray Don Markland and Scott Reynolds. The Woods family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home before the service. Graveside service will follow the service at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active Pallbearers will be: Keith Guinn, Gerald Buckles, Kevin Shelton, Noe Espino, Randy Colbaugh, Mike Williams, Raymond Tester, Travis Norris, Jerry Reece, Jr, George Hernandez and Steve Burrough.
