Dora Kerley White, Elizabethton  passed away in a most peaceful manner on Friday, September 7, 2018, at the age of 96 years and one week at Sycamore Springs Senior Living Community.  Mrs. White was born on August 31, 1922, in Moorcroft, Wyoming, where her parents, Elster Leroy Kerley and Bina Miller Kerley, were homesteading.  The family returned to the mountains of North Carolina where Dora was raised along with her three brothers and four sisters:  Dallas, Dillard, Don, Doris, Delma, Dola Patricia, and Delores, all of whom have passed away.

Dora moved to Elizabethton during World War II where she met the love of her life, Robert Campbell White.  They enjoyed a wonderful marriage of over 50 years until his death in 1997.  Dora was blessed with an extended and loving network of family and enduring friendships far and wide.  An exceptional homemaker, quilt making gave her particular satisfaction.  A steadfast supporter of Lady Vols basketball and the Atlanta Braves, she was a great fan of Chipper Jones.   Dora was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church, Elizabethton.

Mrs. White is survived by an extended family of cousins, nieces and nephews, and dear friends, all of whom she loved very much.  The family expresses grateful appreciation to the staff of Sycamore Springs Senior Living for the loving care given Mrs. White during the past three years.
