Mary Lorena Leonard Neatherly, 95, Elizabethton, passed away Friday, February 21, 2020 in the Sycamore Shoals Hospital after an extended illness. Born July 31, 1924 in Carter County to the late Harry H. & Della Howell Leonard. Mrs. Neatherly was a graduate of Happy Valley High School. She was a retired self-employed seamstress. She enjoyed working in her flowers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Edwin F. Neatherly, a sister, Juanita Tucker and a brother, James Leonard. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Elizabethton.
Survivors include several nieces, nephews & cousins.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 25, 2020 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Forrest Widby officiating. Interment will follow in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home prior to the service.
