Darlene was a wonderful wife and mother whose life was her family. At a young age, Darlene was one of the first women to race in dirt track racing in Germany. She was a woman in charge, very strong and independent. Darlene was of the Pentecostal faith and had some business ventures in Elizabethton over the past 20 years. She like trying new things, enjoyed her collectibles, traveling and her family. Most of all she loved her family, home, her business ventures and her grandchildren.
Those left to cherish Darlene’s precious memories include her loving husband of 24 years, Edward Sullivan; three sons, Jason Barbour and wife Daphne, Timothy Barbour and wife Elaina and Michael Sullivan; one sister, Nancy Sada; and a brother, Jim McNeill and wife Sherry. Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
