Roger C. Hutson

Roger Clinton Hutson, 67, Elizabethton passed away Monday, October 25, 2021 at his residence. He was born September 5, 1954 in Kingsport to the late Clinton and Emily Ruby Spitzer Hutson. He was a graduate of Ketron High School and attended ETSU. He was an Electrician and was also in law enforcement having worked as a Policemen in Bluff City and also in Hawkins County Sheriff Department. He was a member of East Side Free Will Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter: Athena Byrd.

Survivors include his wife: Sally Ward Hutson. His Children: Michelle (Jeff) Jenkins and Daniel (Yvonne) Byrd. Two Grandchildren: Beth and Scott Byrd. His Brothers: William (Sharon) Hutson, Steve Hutson, David (Robin) Hutson, Charles (Debra) Hutson, John (Brenda) Hutson and Curtis(Janice) Hutson. His Sister: Phyllis Hunley. Several Nieces & Nephews.

Graveside Service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday October 28, 2021 in Happy Valley Memorial Park with Pastor Justin Deaton officiating. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 2:20 p.m. Thursday to go to the cemetery. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the Staff of Amedisys Hospice for the excellent care he received.
