Carolyn Sue Whitehead

Carolyn Sue Ingram Whitehead, 86, Elizabethton, passed away Thursday, October 21, 2021 at her residence. She was born February 26, 1935 in Roan Mountain to the late Charles P. & Ethel Whitehead Ingram. She was retired from Baxter Pharmaseal. She loved bowling, playing cards, and loved to travel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter: Barbara Smith, a sister: Phyllis Edwards and a son-in-law: Jimmy Collins.

Survivors include Three Daughters: Angela (Jeffery) Hathaway, Pace, Florida, Kathy Collins, Johnson City and Donna Whitehead, Elizabethton. One Son: Michael Whitehead (Debbie), Elizabethton. Her Grandchildren: Nikki Larae (Jed) Ward, Elizabethton, James Matthew Collins (Abbie), Bakersville, California, Michael Jonathan Whitehead, Johnson City, Michael Dale Whitehead, Jr., Hampton and David Daniel Hathaway, Pace, Florida, Nine Great Grandchildren., a son-in-law: Sidney Smith. Three Brothers: Wayne (Faye) Ingram, Kenneth (Caroline) Ingram and Jerry (Kay) Ingram. Three Sisters: Barbara Jean Hodge, Patsy Hathaway and Diana (Billy) Pate. Several Nieces & Nephews. One Uncle: Leonard Whitehead, Pensacola, Florida.

Graveside Service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in Happy Valley Memorial Park with Mr. Raymond Hill officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
