Mrs. Cozie Ellen Hyder, Elizabethton,peacefully went to her heavenly home on June 6, 2022 at the home of her daughter, Judy Milhorn. Mrs.Hyder was born on Beech Mountain N.C. to Joseph & Sarah Parlier on May 13,1923.She had 9 brothers and sisters, moved to Elizabethton and married Fred Hyder,Sr. on July 21,1945. She was a member of Doe River Baptist Church. Mrs Hyder loved to play checkers.
She is survived by daughter Judy Milhorn and husband Byron, sons Fred Hyder,Jr and wife Sandra, Joe Hyder and wife Judy and sister Lou Martinelli. 6 grandchildren,12 great grandchildren and 2 great,great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held for Mrs. Hyder at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2022 in Happy Valley Memorial Park with Pastor Greg Largent officiating. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:20 a.m. Wednesday to go in procession to the cemetery.
