Mrs. Virginia Darrell Angel Depew, 93, Hamptonville, North Carolina formerly of Elizabethton joined her Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 9, 2022. Virginia was born August 27, 1928 in Carter County, TN to Homer Angel and Ada Roberson Johnson. She was a member of East Side Freewill Baptist Church. Virginia adored her cats, and loved flowers. She was a wonderful wife and mother, and her grandchildren were blessed to have her as their “Meme”.
In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Lynne Depew; and a half sister, Helen Smith. She is survived by her son, Robert (Elaine) Ferguson; grandchildren, Twila (Will) Bryant and April Hutchens; great grandchildren, Austin (Kaylee) Hutchens, Hunter Butcher, and Macie Hutchens (Dakota Casstevens); and a great-great granddaughter, Abby Hutchens.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00PM, Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Rev. Justin Deaton officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 12:20 p.m. Wednesday to go in procession to the cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at our website www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
