Mrs. Faye Marie Spears Taylor passed away at the Johnson City Medical Center on Saturday, April 9, 2022. Faye was born in Sullivan County, TN, the daughter of the late Frank and Maude Davis Spears. Faye resided in Johnson City and was a faithful member of First Christian Church. She was retired and had worked many years in retail sales where she enjoyed her work and customers. Faye loved her family, friends and neighbors and was always on the go. She enjoyed many travels over the years and loved having her picture taken.

She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Maude Davis Spears, husband Gene A. Taylor, brothers Kenneth Spears, Eugene Spears and a sister Doris Bare.

Those left to cherish her memory are son, Michael Taylor (Teresa) of Gray and daughter Beth Bonsor (Shannon and daughter Abby), of Piney Flats as well as her two precious granddaughters, Kayla Bonsor and Taylor Bonsor also of Piney Flats. Also surviving, are four sisters, Susie Pierce (Joel) of Elizabethton, Eula Lee Jones, Linda Lou Landers (Carmen) and Patricia Clyburn (Dewey) all of Johnson City as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank Trish Snowden, Sheril Lyda, Dawn Burl, Georgia Bawgus and Nancy for their special friendship to Faye over the years. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the Johnson City Medical Center Hospital, 2600 Coronary Care Unit. Physicians, Dr. Nikoloz Koshkelashvili (Dr. Nik), Dr. Young, and Dr. Malik and the nursing team, Brooke, Caitlin, Beth, Sarah, Logan, Dakota, Darcy, Trevor and Jake. Also, thank you to the Respiratory Team, the Chaplain Services and the Johnson City Washington County EMS for their exceptional care and kindness to Faye and her family during this difficult time.

An Entombment Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2022 in the Mausoleum of Peace, Happy Valley Memorial Park with Mr. Donald Mushayamunda officiating. Entombment will follow the service. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Family and friends will assemble at the Mausoleum at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service.
