Mary Elizabeth Keylon

Mary Elizabeth (Randall) Keylon, age 81, of Elizabethton, Tennessee went home to be with her Lord on Monday, June 28, 2021 from the Life Care Center of Elizabethton. Mary was born in Jamestown, Tennessee to the late Reverend Hobart McKinley Randall and Trudie Vera Bowden Randall. In addition to her parents, Mary was also preceded in death by her husband, Gary Willis Keylon; her daughter, Debbie (Keylon) Palagyi; a grandson, Matthew Keylon; and her brother, Charlie Randall.

Mary had a wonderful personality, a personality that never knew a stranger. She retired as a switchboard operator for United Intermountain Telephone and was a member of East Side Baptist Church. Mary loved going to church and being with her church family and most of all she loved interacting with children, especially her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Those left to cherish Mary’s many wonderful memories include her sons, Wesley Keylon, David Keylon and Mark Keylon; her daughter, Melanie Keylon; her grandchild, Kendra Keylon; her great grandchildren, E.J. Malone, Kaylee, Baylee and Layla Malone, Noah and McKinlee Keylon; her sister, Vera Cooper; and many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive.

A service to celebrate Mary’s life will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Friday, July 2, 2021 in the Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, prior to the service on Friday.

The graveside service will follow at 3:00 PM on Friday, July 2, 2021 at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
