Bethany Ann Holder, age 13, of Elizabethton, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, March 17, 2014 from the University of Tennessee Children’s Hospital in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Bethany was the daughter of Gary and Patty Trivette Holder, of Elizabethton.
Bethany loved spending time with her family, enjoying the activities of coloring, drawing and swimming but most of all, she enjoyed camping. She attended Hunter Elementary School, and loved all of her classmates and teachers, especially Miss Penny, Miss Charlotte and Mrs. Shoun. Bethany attended Valley Forge Free Will Baptist Church and enjoyed the time she shared with her church family.
Survivors, in addition to her parents, include two brothers, Alex Holder and Brady Holder; maternal grandparents, Allen and Joann Trivette, of Elizabethton; paternal grandparents, Hoover and Mary Holder, of Elizabethton; an aunt, Jeannie Holder and husband, Kevin, of Elizabethton; an uncle, Raymond Holder and wife, Susan, of Kentucky; aunts and uncles, Tina and Ray Wyatt, Joy Trivette and Dee Dee and Jerry Yandels, all of Elizabethton. Several other cousins also survive.
A celebration of Bethany’s life will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Thursday, March 20, 2014, in the Valley Forge Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Johnson and Rev. Mark Potter officiating. Music will be under the direction of Megan Harsh and the praise choir.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the church, prior to the service on Thursday; or at the residence at anytime.
The committal and entombment service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 21, 2014, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Alex Holder, Brady Holder, Adam Holder, Dustin Wyatt, Michael Rector and Joseph Carrier. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the church at 1:00 PM on Friday, to go in procession.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Holder’s church family, school and community and the staff of UT Children’s Hospital for all the love, support and care shown to Bethany and her family.
