Albert C. “Smoke” Harrison, age 59, of Johnson City, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2014, at the Johnson City Medical Center following a brief illness.
Albert was a native of Carter County and the son of Albert W. Harrison, of Watauga, and the late Jessie Elliott Harrison.
Mr. Harrison had worked in construction and attended Keenburg Free Will Baptist Church. He liked riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, enjoyed hot rods and loved animals.
Survivors include his father and stepmother, Albert and Florence Harrison, Watauga, TN; his wife of 14 years and unconditional companion, Debbie Buckles Harrison, of the home; a sister, Audrey Edney and husband, John, Elizabethton; a brother, Keith Harrison, Watauga; a step brother, James Parlier and wife, Kathryn, Watauga; one niece, Lynn Honeycutt and husband, Rob, Elizabethton; two nephews, William H. Harrison and wife, Kelly, and Daniel Harrison, all of Johnson City; and one great niece, Masie Honeycutt, Elizabethton. Several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
The funeral service for Mr. Albert C. “Smoke” Harrison will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Friday, February 28, 2014, in the Riverside Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Rev. Gene Fleenor, officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, prior to the service on Friday; or at the residence of his father and step mother at anytime.
The graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 1, 2014, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Tim Wood, Eli Wood, Daniel Harrison, William Harrison, Rob Honeycutt, Jim Roe, Jerry Roe and Calvin Goff. Honorary pallbearers will be John Edney and Jim Parlier. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at Tetrick Funeral Home of Elizabethton at 10:15 AM on Saturday to go in procession.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Johnson City Internal Medicine and the nurses on the 4500 Wing of Johnson City Medical Center for all the love and care shown to Albert during his illness.
