Albert Herman O’Quinn, 76, Elizabethton went home be with his Lord, Thursday, April 2, 2015 in the Johnson City Medical Center after a brief illness. A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Herbert & Dorothy Turbyfill O’Quinn. He was a 1957 graduate of Elizabethton High School. Mr. O’Quinn retired after 38 years of service from Inland Containers formerly Tri-State Containers. His compassion was gardening and helping others. He was a member of East River Park Christian Church where he had served as an Elder & Deacon for many years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister: Faye Myers.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years: Mary Carroll O’Quinn. His daughters & sons in-law: Kim & Tom Fowler, Tammy & Kenny Hardin and Judy & John Fletcher. His Son & daughter-in-law: Danny & Holli O’Quinn. His Grandchildren: Marcus, Lindsey & Michael Fowler, Korey Hardin, Lacee & Cassi Fletcher, Patrick, Dawson, Madeline and Emma O’Quinn. His brother: Ray O’Quinn. Several nieces & nephews. His special companions: Daisy & Callie.
A Service to Celebrate the life of Albert Herman O’Quinn will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 4, 2015 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Mr. John H. Smith, Minister officiating. Interment will follow in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Music will be provided by Gina Johnson. Active Pallbearers will be: John Fletcher, Kenny Hardin, Tom Fowler, Marcus Fowler, Michael Fowler, Korey Hardin, Patrick and Dawson O’Quinn. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Men’s Sunday School Class, East River Park Christian Church. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon to 2 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
