Mrs. Angeline Waldrop Head, age 79, of Elizabethton, TN, passed away Monday, February 17, 2014, in the Hillview Health Center following an extended illness.
A native of Carter County, she was the daughter of the late Clifton and Pearl Wagner Waldrop. Mrs. Head was a homemaker and she was a member of Lynnwood Christian Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Randy Alan Campbell; a daughter, Sherry Len Ledford; two grandsons, Chad Edward Byers and Travis Wayne Campbell; and a brother, Clifton Leon Waldrop Jr.
Survivors include her husband, Ernest Head, Elizabethton; two daughters, Azilee Harrington and Peggy Bristol, both of Bluff City; two sons, Gib Campbell, Johnson City, and Jeffrey Campbell, Elizabethton; ten grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald David Waldrop, Johnson City; and nine sisters, Mabel Zabel, Kentucky, Zella Mae Price, Ohio, Bertie Lou Hopson, Unicoi, Dorothy Bolin, Kentucky, Lovella Brummitt, Johnson City, Opal Porch, Johnson City; Linda Sue Merritt, North Carolina, Pauletta Carpenter, Elizabethton, and Trudy Keys, Telford. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family requests the comfort and honor of your presence at the funeral service for Mrs. Angeline Waldrop Head at 7:00 P.M. Thursday, February 20, 2014, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services with Pastor Jack Dykes officiating. Music will be under the direction of Diane Waldrop.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-7:00 P.M. on Thursday prior to the service.
Graveside service and interment will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Friday, February 21, 2014, in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Everyone will meet at the funeral home at 10:15 A.M. on Friday to go in procession to the cemetery.
Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to the Building Fund, Lynnwood Christian Church, 2755 Watauga Road, Johnson City, TN 37601.
