Anna Sue Clark, age 86, of Elizabethton, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 5, 2016 from Sycamore Shoals Hospital in Elizabethton, Tennessee. She was a daughter of the late Robert R. and Myrtle Carden Clark. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Hazel Shull, Ailene Bailey, Wanda Markland, Blondeen Parr; and two nephews, Rick and Randy Markland.

Anna Sue was born in Bluefield, West Virginia on September 12, 1929. She was raised in Hampton, Tennessee, but had moved to the Valley Forge Community, where she resided for over forty years. Anna Sue was an avid dog lover and enjoyed being with family. She was retired from Levi Strauss Company.

She is survived by her twin sister and best friend, Betty Lou Chambers. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until 5:00 PM on Sunday, February 7, 2016 in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services, Elizabethton; or at the home of her sister, Betty Lou Chambers at any time.

A graveside service to honor the life of Anna Sue Clark will be conducted 1:30 PM on Monday, February 8, 2016 at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Rev. Randy Johnson and Rev. Mark Potter, officiating. Active pallbearers will be Mark Markland, Phil Shull, Ralph Parr, Jimmy Parr, Will Barkley, Tony Greene, Sam Crowder and Dustin Jaynes. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Bailey, Arlene Bailey, Donnie Carden and Henry Wayne Jenkins. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at the funeral home at 12:45 PM on Monday, to go in procession.

Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers, may make donations to the Carter County Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 682, Elizabethton, TN 37643.
