Annie Laurie Dykes Caston, age 80, of Elizabethton, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 23, 2016 from the Roan Highlands Nursing Center. Annie was born in Natchez, Mississippi to the late Thomas E and Alma Stone Dykes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas Payne Caston, in 2013; three brothers, Rayford Dykes, Thomas Dykes and Bobby Dykes; and one sister, Janie Williamson.
Annie retired from Bell South, where she had worked in the business office. She was of the Baptist faith.
Those left to cherish her memory include a daughter, Patti Thompson, Bluff City; three sons, Larry Caston and wife Patti, Gray, TN, Gary Caston and wife Beverly of Vidalia, Louisiana, and Kim Caston, Buffalo, Missouri; seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A service to honor the life of Mrs. Annie Laurie Dykes Caston will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Sunday, June 26, 2016 in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton with Evangelist Brad Farmer, officiating. Music will be provided by Michael Caston. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, prior to the service on Sunday.
A private graveside will be held at Happy Valley Memorial Park.
