Mrs. Betty Jane Crum, 68, of Elizabethton, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, on Sunday, May 28, 2017 at the Johnson City Medical Center Hospital. She was born in Elizabethton, a daughter of the late Charles E. and Flora Mae Mayse Bowers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Lois Russell and two brothers, Charles Bowers, Jr. and Raymond Rosenbaum.
Mrs. Crum was a member of God’s House Full Gospel Church and was a Christian lady with a loving heart who loved to read her Bible. She was a loving wife and sister also.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 22 years, Ray Crum of the home; a sister, Cora Bell Greenwell, Elizabethton; two nieces, Melissa Miller and Pam Tester, both of Elizabethton. Several other nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
A service to honor the life of Mrs. Crum will be conducted on Saturday, June 3, 2017, at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Peace, Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Pastor Jerry Davis and Pastor Kim Casey officiating. Music will be under the direction of Pastor Kim Casey. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM prior to the service.
The graveside service will follow the funeral service at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
The family wishes to express a special and heartfelt thank you to the staff of ICU at Johnson City Medical Center Hospital for the love and care given to Mrs. Crum.
