Billie Joyce Rhea Holsclaw, age 84, of Robertsdale, Alabama, formerly of Elizabethton, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2014 at her residence, following an extended illness. She was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late William and Myra Campbell Rhea. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stewart Delano Holsclaw in 1990.
Mrs. Holsclaw was a member of Eastside Christian Church.
Survivors include her children, Roy Wayne Holsclaw and wife Brigette, Florala, AL, Judy Carol Brill and John Steven Holsclaw and wife Wanda, both of Robertsdale, AL; seven grandchildren, Bradley Holsclaw, Crestview, FL, Ashley Holsclaw, Ft. Walton, FL, Michael Decker, Defuniak Springs, FL, Shane Patrick Brill and wife Dee Dee, Robertsdale, AL, Michael Brill and wife Debra, Silverhill, AL, John J. Holsclaw and wife Sharon, Ohio, and Chasity McKlemurry and husband Dustin, Gulf Port, MS; seventeen great grandchildren; one sister, Sarah Allen, MD; two brothers, Don Rhea and Ronnie Rhea, both of Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Holsclaw will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Friday, May 30, 2014 in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton with Mr. Tommy Brill,
Mr. Randall Johnson, ministers, officiating. Music will be under the direction of Mr. Tommy Brill. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, prior to the service on Friday.
The graveside service will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Mr. Ernie Depew, officiating. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
