     Bonnie Pansy O’Quinn Turbyfill, 87, Elizabethton, passed away Friday, October 11, 2019 in the Ivy Hall Nursing Home. A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Warren & Carrie Powers O’Quinn. She was retired from North American Rayon Corporation and Magnavox. Bonnie   was a member of Borderview Christian Church. She loved working in her garden and flowers and loved to go shopping, and could be found talking and laughing with family on her porch swing.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Dennis Turbyfill who died August 23, 2008, and by a son Dean Turbyfill, by two brothers: Evert O’Quinn, and Wayne Kiser, and three sisters: Cornail Profitt, Francis Ray and Novella Smith. Bonnie loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren and spent many happy hours with them.

Survivors include her daughter & son-in-law: Joann & Harold Hipps. One Son & Daughter-In-Law: Ted & Vernie Turbyfill. Her Daughter-In-Law: Jean Turbyfill. Her Grandchildren: Eddie Turbyfill, Tracey Burgess and Josh Turbyfill. Her Great Grandchildren: Logan Turbyfill, Micah Turbyfill, Emma Burgess and Bella Turbyfill. Her Brother: Jack O’Quinn and her sister: Mae Buckles. Several nieces & nephews. A special Friend: Randy Bateman.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, October 14, 2019 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Mr. Scott Fisher, Minister officiating. Interment will follow in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Music will be provided by Scott Reynolds, Organist. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the staff of Ivy Hall Nursing Home and Caris Hospice for the excellent care she received.
