Carolyn Morgan, 79 of Gray passed away Sunday, May 3, 2020 at her residence. She was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City and was a daughter of the late Callie Orten. Mrs. Morgan was a member of the Piney Grove Freewill Baptist Church. She had worked for American Water Heaters and Johnson City Housing Authority. In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Morgan in 1998; a daughter, LeAnne Koharik in 2012; a son, James “Jamie” Morgan in 1988; a daughter-in-law, Deborah Morgan in 2014.
Survivors include a son, Jeffrey Morgan of Gray; two grandsons, Christopher Morgan of Gray and Brandon Koharik of South Carolina; a granddaughter, Callie Koharik of Chattanooga.
Graveside services for Mrs. Morgan will be conducted at 12:00 noon Saturday, May 9, 2020 in the Happy Valley Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be selected from the family and friends. For those attending this service you are asked to meet at the cemetery by 11:45 AM.
