Casey Michelle Murphy, 29, Elizabethton, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2017.  She was a native of Carter County.  Casey was a 2006 graduate of Unaka High School and attended Jenny Lea Academy.  She loved being with her sons, her family and friends.  She also loved horses.  Casey was a member of Watauga Valley Free Will Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her father Rex Murphy in 1989, by her grandparents, Earl & Goldie Murphy and a special aunt: Melena Potter McCloud in 2015.

Survivors include two sons: Camaron & McKinley Price.  Her Mother: Vickie Potter.  Her Maternal Grandparents: R.L. and Norma Potter, her step-father Billy Hardin, her step-sister: Ashley Campbell, special cousin-sister, Cassandra Townsend  and special friends: Doug McFadden and David Price.  Several aunts ,uncles and cousins.  One Niece: Bethany Campbell, One Nephew: Brayden Campbell

Funeral Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bill Greer officiating.  Graveside Service and Interment will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 31, 2017 in Happy Valley Memorial Park.  Active Pallbearers who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 10:20 a.m. Friday will be: David Price, David Bryant, David Harrell, Dustin Bryant, Chad Bryant, Billy Hardin, Doug McFedda    n, Lynn Potter, Brandon Potter, Rick Potter, Scottie Potter and Daniel McCloud.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Her Papaw R.L. Potter, Bryce McCloud, L.J. Scalf, Mark Potter, Kenneth Murphy, Tony Murphy, Jeff Gibble, Mark Gibble and Chase Potter.  The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Friends may also visit with the family at the residence of her Maternal Grandparents: R.L. & Norma Potter, 700 Blevins Avenue, and Elizabethton.  Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:20 a.m. Friday to go to the cemetery.  Condolences may be sent to the family at our web-site www.memorialfcelizabethton.
