Charles was retired from General Shale as a truck driver and was a United States Navy veteran.
Those left to cherish his memories include his son, Timothy S. Campbell and wife Mary, of Elizabethton; one brother, William F. Campbell (Cookie), of North Carolina; and his sister, Sherry Hicks and husband Ronnie, of Elizabethton.
An open visitation for Charles W. Campbell, Jr will be conducted between the hours of 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 in the Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton.
A graveside service to honor the life of Charles will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 2, 2020 at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Mr. David Siebenaler, officiating. Military honors to be accorded by the Bristol VFW Post #6975. Active pallbearers will be Billy Campbell, Joshua Hicks, Jimmy Carr, Jimmy Sizemore, Matthew Brace and Abi Brace. Honorary pallbearers will be the elders and deacons and the men’s class at Valley Forge Christian Church. Those wishing to attend the graveside are asked to meet at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton at 10:15 AM on Thursday, to go in procession.
Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flower, donations may be made to Valley Forge Christian Church, 114 VF Christian Church Road, Elizabethton, TN 37643.
The family would like to especially thank Caris Hospice, especially Courtland for the loving care shown to Mr. Campbell during his illness.
