Clyde retired as the owner of Liberty Tire and Jenkins Marine Service. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was a member of First Baptist Church of Elizabethton. Clyde was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and boating on Watauga Lake.
Those left to cherish Clyde’s memory include his loving and devoted wife, Nell Isaacs Jenkins, of the home; a sister, Betty Montgomery and husband Lynn, of Elizabethton; several nieces and nephews; his God children, Jeff and Vandi France and their children, Maddie and Kate; his life-long friend, Sharon Adams; and his special friends, Rick and Teresa Simerly, Jerry and Teresa Calhoun, and Terry (Monk) Montgomery.
An open visitation will be conducted at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM, on Friday, July 3, 2020 for friends to sign the guest book.
A service to celebrate Clyde’s life will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Friday, July 3, 2020 in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton with Reverend Todd Hallman and Reverend Bob Polk, officiating. Music will be provided by John Bunn.
The graveside service will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be his nephews, Jeff Montgomery, Phil Isaacs, Thomas Isaacs, Todd Isaacs, Ray Isaacs, and Jim Caldwell. Honorary pallbearers will be Clyde’s church family, friends and neighbors.
