Cynthia Ann Darnell Andes, 53, a Carter County native and a current resident of Greeneville, was called home to be with the Lord early Sunday, October 5, 2014.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of Sinking Creek Baptist Church.

Cynthia was a graduate of Elizabethton High School. She was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, grandmother (Nana), and aunt. She loved the outdoors, helping others, and animals.

She was born in Midwest City, Oklahoma, and presently a resident of Greeneville, Tennessee, and was formerly from Hampton, Tennessee.

Survivors include a daughter: Paula Dean Nave; five grandchildren: Katie, Brooklyn “Boo”, Ethan, Chelsie, and Robbie; father: Paul Darnell; mother: Laura Suddath; sisters and brothers-in-law: Aleta Darnell, Kelly and Mark Roberts, Pamela and Alan Ensor; grandmother: Seffie Dugger; several nieces and nephews: Ryan Humphreys, Lauren Darnell, and Lindsey Sawyer; two special great nephews: Bentley and Talon Sawyer; and her best friend and companion: Carl Hardin.

The funeral service will be held at 10am Tuesday, October 7, 2014, in Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel with Rev. Claude Swatsell and Rev. Lawrence Pack officiating.

Interment will follow in Happy Valley Memorial Park in Elizabethton.

Pallbearers will be Charlie Sawyer, Earl “Buddy” Wines, Alan Ensor, Carl Hardin, Wesley Heath, and Matt Simerly.

Honorary pallbearers are Norman Simerly, Rick Hatley, and Tony Roberts.

The family extends a special thanks to Angela Johnson and Dr. Michael Hartsell.
