Daisy Cordell

Daisy Vaughn Cordell was born September 28, 1932 in Laurel County, Kentucky; the daughter of the late Herman Vaughn and Cora Goforth.  She was united in marriage to Loren L. Cordell who preceded her in death.  She is survived by her daughter Carolyn Inman Watkins and husband Woody of East Bernstadt; siblings Loretta Burchfield, Freda Yaden, Van Vaughn, Paul Vaughn, Howard Vaughn, Gracie Moore, Ernest Vaughn, Eddie Clay Vaughn and Deborah Eversole all of London, Edna Ford, and Rita Ralston both of Illinois; three grandchildren, Woody Douglas Watkins and wife Rose of Rockhold, Kentucky, Michael Ray Watkins and wife Crystal of East Bernstadt, and Merle G. Watkins and wife Lesley of London; 13 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; plus a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by three brothers, Richard Vaughn, Ray Vaughn, and Roland Vaughn, and one great-grandchild Kyle Watkins.

She was a factory worker for General Electric, and was a member of Community Christian Church in London.

Daisy Vaughn Cordell departed this life Sunday, August 29, 2021 being 88 years, and 11 months of age.

Funeral services for Daisy Vaughn Cordell will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Bart Jones officiating.  Entombment will be Thursday in Happy Valley Memorial Park in Elizabethton, Tennessee.  The family of Daisy Vaughn Cordell will receive friends Wednesday at Bowling Funeral Home beginning at 6 p.m. until the funeral hour of 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Bowling Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
