Deborah Price Reeves, 50, of Piney Flats, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2014, at Johnson City Medical Center.
Ms. Reeves was born in Elizabethton, Tenn., a daughter of Herchel and Rebecca Schramlin Ornduff. She was preceded in death by her parental grandparents, Herchel and Debrayda Ornduff, and her maternal grandparents, Earl and Charlotte Schramlin.
Ms. Reeves was a member of New Life Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir. She loved cooking, gardening and being with her family.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her daughter, Rachel Price and husband Steven Clifton of Walkertown, N.C.; granddaughters, Audrey and Haleigh Clifton; companion, George Hyatt; two sisters, Janie Broyles and husband Tim, and Kathy Duffield and husband Aldden, all of Elizabethton; a sister-in-law, Alician Morrell of Bluff City; nephews, Mitch and Luke Broyles, Wylie and Jake Duffield and Zachary Helbert; father of her child, Monty Price; aunt, Roberta Bain and husband Don of Spartanburg, S.C.; and uncle, Randy Schramlin and wife Sharon of Kingsport.
The funeral service for Ms. Reeves will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, January 31, at Tetrick Funeral Home, Bluff City Chapel, with Dr. Bill Christian officiating. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, prior to the service. The graveside service and interment will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 1, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Steven Clifton, Aldden Duffield, Zachary Helbert, Davie Brooks and Tim Worley. Honorary pallbearers will be Pastor Coy Webb and Pastor Steve Price. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 12:50 p.m. Saturday.
