Dollie Carol Taylor, age 83, of Johnson City, Tennessee went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 from her residence. Dollie was born in Carter County to the late Herbert Charles Taylor and Lena Gertrude Peters Taylor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Norman Taylor; and two sisters, Glenda Caye Buckles and Velma Dale Taylor.

Dollie was a member of Lynn Valley Baptist Church and she loved talking about the Lord and bringing people to the Lord. She also loved gospel music, especially “Amazing Grace.”

Those left to cherish her sweet memory include a sister, Shelia Taylor, of Elizabethton; a brother, Gene Taylor, also of Elizabethton; her best friend, Helen Jackson, of Johnson City; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at Tetrick Funeral Home of Elizabethton between the hours of 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM on Thursday, May 7, 2020 to sign the guest register book.

A private graveside service to celebrate the life of Dollie Carol Taylor will be conducted at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Honorary pallbearers will be Pastor Dennis Wilson, Adam Miller, Chad Miller, David Peters, Matthew Peters and Donald Taylor.

The family would like to especially thank Dollie’s special friends: the staff of Core Services, Amedysis, and nurse practioner, Kim Neilson for the exceptional love and care shown to Dollie and her family.
