Doris Guylene Treadway, age 73, of Elizabethton TN, went home to be with her Lord Thursday, August 13, 2020 at Hillview Health Center. She was the daughter of the late Guy and Helen Russell Treadway. Doris was funny, kind, and a Godly woman. She lived her life for her son and family. Doris was retired from Alemite after 30 years in assembly. She loved to listen to gospel music, the Bible being read, going to church, and watching Hallmark movies. Doris enjoyed camping, spending time with her family, great-grandchildren, talking on the phone, shopping, and getting her nails and hair done.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Brenda Sue Adams. Those left to cherish her memories are her Son, Jessie Treadway and wife Angie; granddaughter, Karli Coslow; great-grandchildren, Eli Coslow and Aiden Coslow; sisters, Teresa Ballard and husband Ray, and Cathy Kent; Brothers, Tom Treadway, Larry Joe Treadway and wife Donna; an aunt, Ethel Barnett; special niece, Penny Sams and husband Johnny; several nieces, great-nieces, nephews, and great-nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held at 6:00 P.M, Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home with Dr. Larry Montgomery officiating. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M, Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Those who will be attending the graveside are asked to meet at the funeral home at 9:15 A.M. to go into procession to the cemetery.

Friends may come prior to the service between the hours of 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. to pay their respects and sign the guestbook.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Hillview Faculty for all their special loving care and support during this difficult time.

Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to Regional Cancer Center in Johnson City TN.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Carter County is mandating that all citizens who live in or visit Carter County wear masks in public. In keeping in accordance with this mandate, all visitors to the visitation / funeral service are required to wear a mask and or facial covering. Also, social distancing recommendations will be observed.
