Dorothy “Dottie” Ann McCall, 82, of Kingsport, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 7, 2018. Dottie graduated from Elizabethton High School and worked at the Kingsport Press for over 20 years. She was an avid Tennessee Vols football fan.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Bill G. McCall; parents, Walter and Etta Henson; brother, Oscar Henson; and sister, Yvonne Henson.
Dottie is survived by her sons, Bill McCall and wife Pam, Bob McCall and wife Shari, and Shane McCall and wife Tammy; grandchildren, Casey, Adam, Amanda, Seth, Chrissy, Alicia, Caylee, and Brennan; great-grandchildren, Adam, Austin, Kullen, Neely, Emerson, Issac, Xavier, and Damien; sister, Emily Ornduff and husband Tommy; brother, Charles Henson and wife Texie; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 12 to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m.
Burial will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Niswonger Children’s Hospital, 400 N State of Franklin Rd, Johnson City, TN 37604.
