Edward Thomas “Ed” Shell, age 66, of Roan Mountain, Tennessee went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at his home. Ed was born in Elizabethton, Tennessee to the late Clifton McDonald Shell and Juanita Hart Shell.
Ed retired as a machinist and mechanic at Snap On Tools. He was of the Christian faith and enjoyed working on cars, drag racing and playing with his grandson. Ed loved his family and his cats, Tiger and Riley.
Those left to cherish and remember Ed’s memory include his loving wife of 42 years, Robin Shell of the home; his daughter, Christy Shell of Jonesborough; a grandson, Thomas Clifton Shell also of Jonesborough; and two sisters, Donna (Nick) MckInney and Marsha (Carson) Shepherd all of Roan Mountain. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A graveside service to honor Ed’s life will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Sunday, December 18, 2022 at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Mr. Carson Shepherd officiating. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at Tetrick Funeral Home of Elizabethton at 2:15 PM on Sunday to go in procession to the cemetery.
Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations in Ed’s honor to your local animal shelter.
