Edwin Blaine Fair, 85, Telford, passed away unexpectedly Friday, March 17, 2017 at his residence.  A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Coy & Ethel Perry Fair.  Ed  also known as Bo Bo was a 1950 graduate of Elizabethton High School where he played on the baseball team.  He was a graduate of Utah State University, Logan, Utah with a degree in Fish & Wildlife Management.  He served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict.    Ed was employed as a Fishery Biologist with the United States Fish & Wildlife Service, Department of  The Interior.  He was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church, Elizabethton and Dashiell Masonic Lodge # 238, Elizabethton.  In earlier years he was a Cub Scout Leader and Coached Little League.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters: Jeweldean Estep and Betty Spears and a brother: Harold Fair.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years: Edna LaFollette Fair.  Three Children: Sandie Ellis & husband Ernie, Columbia, South Carolina, Melinda Welch & husband William, Raleigh, North Carolina and Jennifer Fair, Acworth, Georgia.  A Grandson: Joseph Ellis.  His Sisters; Dorothy Dykes & husband Gerald, Goose Creek, South Carolina, Shirley Hale and Ann Ingram & husband Billy all of Elizabethton.  Several nieces & nephews.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2017 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev.  Nathan Jennings & Rev. Jack Lloyd officiating.  The Eulogy will be given by his daughter, Jenny.  Interment will follow in Happy Valley Memorial Park.  Active Pallbearers will be selected from family & friends.  Honorary Pallbearers will be the Cat Island Crew.    The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the Members of the Washington County  Sheriff’s Department and members of the Washington County-Johnson City EMS.  The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service.  Condolences may be sent to the family at our web-site www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
