Elizabeth Vines Buck, age 70, of Elizabethton, went home to be in the loving arms of Jesus on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at her residence, following a brief illness. She was the daughter of the late Lee Monroe and Grace Henegar Vines. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard C. Buck; her sisters, Yvonne Crumley, Blanche Mosler, and Louise Austin; four brothers, Jack, Porter, Robert and Jerry; her aunt and uncle, Harry Vines and Vergie Vines; and two special sisters-in-law, Janice Vines and Rheba Vines.
Mrs. Vines had worked as a cook at Pine Ridge Care and Rehab Center for 16 years and attended Northside Baptist Church.
Survivors include two brothers, Wayne Vines, Elizabethton, and Paul Vines, North Carolina; two very special nieces, Phyllis Burrow and Linda Crumley; along with many nieces, nephews, family, and friends, whom she loved dearly.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 in the Riverside Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton; or at the residence of her niece, Phyllis, at anytime.
A graveside service to honor the life of Mrs. Elizabeth Vines Buck will be conducted at 2:30 PM on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Rev. Bill Greer, officiating. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Stout, Gary Vines and Johnny Vines. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton at 2:00 PM, to go in procession.
