Erma June Ray Carr, 83, Elizabethton, passed away Monday, June 1, 2015 at the residence of a daughter in Smiths Station, Alabama. A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Robert & Leona Troxell Ray. She had been in Alabama for the past two months. She was a graduate of Elizabethton. Mrs. Carr was a retired LPN from Johnson City Medical Center. She was a member of the Roan Street Church of God, Elizabethton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ander Carr and a brother: Wayne Ray .
Survivors include two daughters: Pricila Moore and husband Mark, Smiths Station, Alabama and Teresa English and husband Ben, Chuckey, Tenn. Four Grandchildren and Seven Great Grandchildren. Two brothers & sisters-in-law: Bob & Pat Ray and Jerry & Ruby Ray all of Elizabethton. Two Sisters: Reba Barnett, Elizabethton and Wava Murphy, Massachusetts.
Memorial Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Ken Bewley officiating. Inurnment will follow in Happy Valley Memorial Park.
