Eugene Malone, age 70, of Elizabethton, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at his residence. Mr. Malone was a native of Sullivan County and the son of the late Fred and Cornelia Carr Malone. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ann Manuel Malone on October 27, 2004; and his son, Michael Malone in 1992.
Mr. Malone was retired from North American Rayon Corporation and had also worked at Orkin and was the former owner and operator of Malone Home and Anchoring Service. He was a member of Pleasant Beach Baptist Church and during his younger years, he enjoyed playing basketball at Mary Hughes High School.
Mr. Malone is survived by a grandson, Fred Malone, of the home.
A graveside service to honor the life of Mr. Eugene Malone will be conducted at 3:30 PM on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected by family and friends. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton at 3:00 PM on Thursday, to go in procession.
