Evelyn Pauline Holland, 82, Johnson City went home to be with her Lord, Sunday, April 23, 2023 at the Agape Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, Johnson City. She was preceded in death by her parents: Clyde & Mabel Byers Peters and three brothers: Earl Peters, Freddie Peters, and Bobby Peters. Pauline was always the happiest when she was serving others, making it a priority to open her home to others – making people feel special, whether it was preparing a meal for her family, church or anyone she felt could use encouragement. She was a faithful and devoted member of King Springs Baptist Church who worked tirelessly to ensure the church was cleaned and decorated for every season and occasion. She was the “life of the party” and was a joy to others with her quick wit and humor that guaranteed no one would leave her presence without a laugh and a smile on their face. Other than accepting Christ as her personal Savior, Pauline’s greatest joy was the day she became a grandmother to Audrey. Nothing brought her greater joy than being in attendance for every event in Audrey’s life.
Survivors include her husband of sixty years: Lynn Holland. Her Sons and their spouses: Gordon and Tawana Holland and Rick and Tammy Holland. Granddaughter: Audrey Holland. Siblings and their spouses: Jean Rash, Donnie and Brenda Peters and Virginia and Lewis Hulse. Sisters-In-Law: Brenda Gregg Peters and Sarah Peters Sutphin. Brother-In-Law: Tom Holland. Pauline had a special love for her nieces and nephews, as well as, their children. Her special friends: Naomi Workman, Edna Harrell, Jean Tipton, Tanya Rhea, Doug and Delores Hammitt and Pastor Bobby and Janice Stout.
