Flora Turner, age 75, of Elizabethton, passed away on Monday, December 23, 2013 at Sycamore Shoals Hospital, following an extended illness.
Mrs. Turner was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late Ulysses E. and Vicie Baird Mann. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Turner, two sons Steve Turner and Randy Turner, a grandson, Scott Lynn Perry II, five brothers and three sisters.
Mrs. Turner was a former caretaker and was of the Christian faith.
Survivors include a daughter, Lori Anne Turner and fiancé John Frazier; a grandchild, Bryce Turner, all of the home; a sister, Wanda Land and husband Jim of Elizabethton; her loving pets, Baby Kitty, Vann and Odie; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; several special friends, Val Deaton, Bill Fenner, and Chris Fenner all of Elizabethton; and a special mention to Ronnie Small, of Alabama. She also had numerous nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
The family respectfully requests your presence at a graveside service to honor and celebrate the life of Mrs. Turner on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Happy Valley Memorial Park meeting in the Mausoleum of Peace with Minister Charlie Trivette officiating.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Pine Ridge Health and Rehab Center and Sycamore Shoals Intentive Care Unit for all the love and excellent care given to Mrs. Turner during her illness.
