Floyd Dean Henegar, 72, Elizabethton, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2020 at his residence.  A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Lee & Viola Hambrick Henegar.  He was a Heavy Equipment Operator.  Floyd attended First Free Will Baptist Church.  He loved fishing, hunting & camping.

Survivors include his wife of  51  years.  Frieda Guinn Henegar. His children: Angela (Doug) Jarrett, Jonesborough, Jamie (Scott) Vance, Bluff City  and Billy Henegar  of Elizabethton.  Eight Grandchildren: Katelyn Jarrett, Mikayla Jarrett, Matthew Jarrett, Kaleb Bare, Kaden Bare, Lukas Vance ,Max Henegar, and  Amelia Henegar.  One Great Grandson: Sawyer Arbaugh.  Two Sisters: Nina Hill, Jonesborough, Lois M. Turner, Dennis (Georgia) Henegar and Glen (Linda) Henegar all of Elizabethton.  Several nieces & nephews.

Graveside Service will be conducted Sunday, April 19, 2020 in Happy Valley Memorial Park with Pastor Nathan Jennings officiating.  Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to Dr. Brian Way and the staff of Blue Ridge Family Center, Dr.Patel & staff of Tennessee Cancer and the Staff of Ballad Hospice.
