2nd Timothy 4: 7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
Hattie Edith Reece Campbell, 93, Elizabethton, went home to be with her Lord Thursday, June 2, 2016 at the Pine Ridge Care Center following an extended illness. A native of Carter County she was born March 13, 1923 to the late Ottie Reece & Dovie Gregg Reece Smith. In addition to her parents “Maw” will be greeted in Heaven by her granddaughter, Cindy Hardin, who she loved so dearly and a sister: Wanda Jones. Edith attended Watauga Academy. She was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant and Homemaker. More than anything else, Edith’s entire life served as a living witness for and devotion to Christ, as well as an unwavering loves for her children. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Elizabethton.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law: Timothy and Terri Campbell, Elizabethton. Three daughters & two sons-in-law: Earlene Campbell, Southport, NC. Aggie & Bobby Lyons and Loretta & Wayne Peeks, all of Elizabethton. One Granddaughter and husband: Tiffany & Mark Revis, Elizabethton. One Great Granddaughter: Makenzie Revis, Elizabethton. Two Nephews: Buddy Wolf and Rick Wolf, many cousins and friends also survive.
A Private Service will be held at a later date. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the Staff of Pine Ridge Care Center and Ladies from Cedar Grove Baptist Church. The family requests no flowers, but would greatly appreciate all donations to the Hale Community Ministries, 1301 Arney Street, Elizabethton, Tenn. 37643.
