     Hazel Marie Grindstaff Weaver, 91, Elizabethton, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2020 in the Ivy Hall Nursing Home.  A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late James L. & Holly Wallace Grindstaff.   She was a graduate of the Tennessee School for the Blind, Donaldson, Tennessee.  She was employed by the Volunteer Blind Industries.  Mrs.  Weaver was a member of Pleasant Beach Baptist Church .  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Grady L. Weaver, a son: Keith Weaver and a brother: Herman P. Grindstaff and a sister: Hilda R. Bowers.

Survivors include a daughter & Son-in-law: Debra & Steven Sparks, Jonesborough.  A sister & brother-in-law: Freada (Bob) Whitson.  Her Grandchildren: Chris Taylor, Jason (Amy) Taylor, Joshua Weaver, Eleana (Paul) Pate , Donnette (Steve) Hahn all of Erwin, and Shian and Vickie Combs of Kingsport, TN; Great Grandson: Kasen Taylor, a great  great  grandson: Lyric Hahn and other grandchildren.  Aspen (Luke) Thompson, Dakota (Heather) Hahn, Lyric Hahn,  and Cheyenne Hahn.   Special Nephew: Brian (Trieva) Whitson.  Special friend: Bonnie Crabtree and several cousins.

Graveside Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2020 in Happy Valley Memorial Park. with Pastor  Nathan Jennings officiating.  The Honorary Minister will be her former pastor Rev. Bobby Stout.  Music will  be provided by Janice Verran.  Active Pallbearers who are requested to assemble at the cemetery at 1:50 p.m. Wednesday will be: Terry Pope, Ian Grindstaff, Andrew Gunn, Chelcie Ricker, Tim Andrews, Chris Taylor, and Jason Taylor.  Honorary Pallbearers will be: Robert Regenold, David Regenold, Charlie Isakeson and members of the Lions Volunteer Blind Industries.  The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to Judy & Victor Deloach and the entire staff of Ivy Hall Nursing Home for the excellent care she received during her stay there.  Friends may register their presence at the funeral home between the hours of 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Tuesday or 9.a.m. until noon Wednesday.  Condolences may be sent to the family at our web-site www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
