Heather Carol Barnett, 44, Kingsport, passed away on Monday, January 18, 2016, in the Holston Valley Medical Center.
She was a native of Washington County. Heather was a 1989 graduate of Happy Valley High School. She presently was attending North East State at Kingsport. She was a member of Sinking Creek Baptist Church.
Heather was preceded in death by a brother: Phillip Barnett.
Survivors include a daughter, Kourtney Carriger, Johnson City; her parents, Richard & Claudette Barnett, Johnson City; her maternal grandmother, Mary Ruth Toney, Johnson City.
A Graveside Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 12, 2016, in Happy Valley Memorial Park with Dr. Alan King officiating. Active Pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the cemetery at 10:50 a.m. on Friday, will be: Rob Toney, Ryan Toney, Bill Barnett, Jerry Barnett, Ben Hale and Jeff Matherly.
The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to family & friends, Dr. Alan King and the church family of Zion Baptist Church, and Buddy Brown.
Those planning to attend the service are requested to assemble at the cemetery at 10:50 a.m. on Friday.
