Helen Marie Lewis Gouge, Kingsport, Tn. passed away, Wednesday, November 26, 2014. She was born on October 9, 1930 in Carter County, Tennessee. She lived most of her life in Kingsport. Helen was preceded in death by her husband: Strail Gouge, Her parents: John & Mamie Morris Lewis, brothers: Johnny Lewis and Kenneth Lewis.
She is survived by daughters: Patricia Hade (Wes) and Peggy Gouge Key. Granddaughters: Sarah Hade and Rebekah Hade. Sisters: Selma Bowers (Ennis) and Christine Taylor (Lynn). Brother-in-law: Ralph Gouge. Sisters-in-law: Royetta Lewis and Barbara Berry, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind a special friend and neighbor, Rometa Witt.
Graveside Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 29, 2014 in Happy Valley Memorial Park, Elizabethton with Dr. Ed Clevinger officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday in Memorial Funeral Chapel. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff at Holston Manor and Amedisys Hospice staff for the care they gave to Helen.
