Helen Ruth Taylor (Minnick) Pace, Florida left us for her eternal home in heaven on the first day of summer, Wednesday, June 21, 2017.  Helen was born on February 18, 1936 in Elizabethton, TN to Frank and Marie Minnick. She married her husband, Joseph C Taylor and moved to Pensacola, FL in November 1955.   Helen was a beloved Women’s Sunday School teacher to many at Myrtle Grove Baptist Church.  She supported her husband Joe in the A/C & Heating Business while raising her 5 children.  Helen had a smile, a kind word and time for everyone.  She was ready to share the hope and love of Jesus Christ to those she met along life’s way.  Upon Joe’s retirement they began a new adventure in Damascus, VA.  Joe and Helen started a beautiful orchard on Laurel Creek.  They shared with friends who came by for a visit or strangers who biked the VA Creeper Trail through their property.  This provided many opportunities for Helen and Joe to minister to others and to share their faith in Jesus Christ which defined their lives.  Helen taught a precious ladies Sunday School class at First Baptist Church of Damascus.  She recently returned to Florida where she was a blessing and encouragement to all those she met, especially the Ladies’ Book Club at Immanual Baptist Church.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Joe Taylor.  She leaves behind to cherish her memory daughter Irene Knowles (Philip); sons Stanley Taylor (Deb), Johnathan Taylor (Dolores), Mark Taylor (Melissa) and Gordon Taylor (Dina).  Grandchildren: Cindy (Kyle), Karen, Tony, Olivia, Brandon, Micah, Seth, Grace, Wyatt, Chloe (Tim), Simon and Sky.  Great grandchildren: Ben and Eliza. Sister Linda Presnell, brother John Minnick (Deb) and sisters-in-love Patsy Keltner (Joe) and Mildred Taylor.
