Imogene Jordan  Millsaps, age 82, Elizabethton, left her earthly home on Wednesday morning, December 6, 2017 at the Johnson City Medical Center, following a brief illness.  Imogene was a native of Johnson County, a daughter of the late James Willis Jordan, Sr. and Vada Robinson Jordan.  She was a graduate of Johnson County High School.  Imogene married the love of her life on September 7, 1957.  They moved to Elizabethton in 1967, where they raised their two sons.  She was employed by Baxter, Johnson City, until her retirement.  She was a member of Doe Valley United Methodist Church, Mountain City, but attended Watauga Point United Methodist Church, Elizabethton.  She was a fifty year member of Butler Chapter #218, Order of Eastern Star.  She was a loving wife, mom, mother-in-law, granny, sister, friend and caring neighbor.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters: Golda Walsh, Marguritte Lowe and Helen Collins; and five brothers: James Earl Jordan, S.D. Jordan, James Willis Jordan, Jr., Russell Jordan and Ray Denver Jordan.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 60 years, Raymond Millsaps of the home, Two Sons: David Millsaps, Johnson City and Douglas Millsaps and his wife, Sharon Millsaps, Jonesborough; two Grandchildren, Sara Elizabeth Millsaps, Cleveland, Tn. and Matthew Hunter Millsaps, Jonesborough; very dear friends, Ed & Ginger Cobb, Elizabethton, several nieces, nephews and two sisters-in-law.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 10, 2017 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Leann “Lu” Crandall, and Dr. Kenneth Jordan officiating.  Entombment will be in the Mausoleum of Peace, Happy Valley Memorial Park with Pastor Mike Berry officiating.  Active Pallbearers will be: David Millsaps, Doug Millsaps, Ed Cobb, Eddie Cobb, Terry Jordan and James Avery.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Matthew Millsaps and Jerry Jordan.   Friends may also visit with the family at her residence.  The family will receive friends from 12 Noon Sunday until the service hour.
