Ina Mae Calloway, Stanbery, Bailiff, Campbell, age 82, of Elizabethton went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 27, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Allie Bowers Calloway. Ina was a graduate of Elizabethton High School, class of 1958. She was a member of Pleasant Beach Baptist Church. She served as the pianist for Hunter Memorial, Lynn Valley, Pleasant Beach, Johnson City Baptist Temple and Biltmore. Ina is a former teacher, active in missions, a volunteer at Hale Community Ministries: J.C’s friends. She is a former employee of Sperry (Univac), Ira Watsons, Elizabethton City Schools, serving at Harold McCormick and T.A. Dugger. She spent 30 years loving and working with children.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by husbands, William Boyd Stanbery, James Paul Bailiff and Alfred Lloyd Campbell; two brothers, Junior Calloway and Paul Calloway and three sisters, Carrie Carley, Gladys Peeks and Charlotte Crumley.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Dolores “Dee” (Carl) Bowman; son, Dawaine (Nena) Stanbery; three granddaughters, Jenny (James) Harrell, Amanda (Scott) Jennings and Carina (David) Fields, all of Elizabethton; six great-grandchildren, Camie Isaacs, Jacob Whitaker, Eli Whitaker and Kelsey Whitaker and Tyler Fields and Kiera Fields, all of Elizabethton; six step-children, James (Carol) Bailiff, of CO, Gina (Michael) Bryant, Freida (Eugene) Carrier, Joy (Bobby) Heaton, Pam Borum, all of Elizabethton and Charles Angel, of NC; five step-grandchildren, Nicole Smith, of CO, Heather (Billy) Stout, Kristina Heaton, Abby Borum and Matthew Wilson; six step grandchildren, Ansley Wilson, Keelan Borum, Ellie Stout, Caleb Stout and Maggie Stout and Zoie Smith and Zander Smith; three brothers-in-law, Bob (Betty) Campbell, Howard Stanbery and Hubert (Shirley) Stanbery and sister-in-law, Cathy Frazier. Several nieces, nephews and close friends also survive.
A funeral service for Ina will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at Pleasant Beach Baptist Church with Reverend Mark Fowler officiating. The family will receive friends between the hours of 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM prior to the service on Wednesday.
The graveside service and committal will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at Happy Valley Memorial Park, Johnson City. Those who wish to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 9:50 AM.
