Jackie D. “Jack” Williams, 86, Elizabethton, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2022 at his residence. He was born April 10, 1936 in Jonesville, Virginia to the late Fonce & Pearl Pierce Williams. He had lived in Elizabethton for a number of years. He was retired after 35 years as a plumber at Norwell. He loved watching birds. Jack was a member of Borderview Christian Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters: Kathleen Cornett, Reba Lane and Gertrude Bradley.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years: Bonnie Norris Williams. Two Sons : David (Rhonda) Williams and Michael (Jennifer) Williams. One Granddaughter: Macy Williams (Elijah) Fenske. Two Grandsons: Joseph Williams and Cody Williams. Two Great Grandchildren. Two Brothers: Jim Williams and Don Williams. Several nieces & nephews.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Mr. Scott Fisher and Mr. Steve Guinn Ministers officiating. Graveside Service and Interment will be at 3 p.m.Sunday May 1, 2022 in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Music will be provided by Ray Don Markland, The Church Quartett and Scott Reynolds, Organist. Active Pallbearers who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 2:20 p.m. Sunday will be: Mike Odom, John Carver, Travis Norris, Johnny Norris, Curtis Gentry, Scott Campbell and Elijah Fenske. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Melvin Nave, Joey Bradley, Danny Bradley, Dewey Scalf, Lee Norris, Luther Norris, Robert Norris, Jeremy Odom, Jimmy Williams, Allen Scalf, Gene Scalf and Ronnie Hill. The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff of Amedisys Hospice, Dr. Jeff Farrow and Dr. Frank Forbush. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Saturday.
