Jack L. Kyte, 87, of Elizabethton passed away at Sycamore Shoals Hospital on Tuesday November 8th, 2022. He was born in Butler, TN to the late Willard and Maude (Stout) Kyte. Jack was also preceded in death by three brothers, Gene Kyte, Pete Kyte, and Joe Kyte; one sister, Marie Smith; one daughter, Tammy Bailey and a grandson, Gerad Kyte
Jack had attended Dungan Chapel Baptist Church. He retired from H.T. Hackney. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He enjoyed walking, fishing, going antiquing, and never missed a chance to watch the Elizabethton Twins play baseball.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 22 years, Lori Ann Kyte, two daughters, Terry Byrd and Pam Jessee; five grandchildren, several great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild; one brother, Sherril Kyte and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Many friends, loved ones, and some of his friends kids thought of him as “Papaw”
A graveside service will be held to honor his memory at Happy Valley Memorial Park on Friday November 11, 2022 at 2:00 pm with Mr. Eric Heaton officiating. Those who wish to go to the graveside are asked to meet at Tetrick Funeral home by 1:00 to go in procession. Pallbearers will be chosen from family and friends.
