Jerald S. Kilby, 70, Johnson City, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Johnson City Medical Center. A native of Johnson City he was the son of the late James Horace Kilby and Effie (Masters) Kilby. Jerald proudly served his country in the National Guard. He also worked at General Mills Flour Plant as a Mechanic for 23 years. He was a member of Full Gospel Holiness Church. He loved Nascar, Fishing, but most of all his grandkids. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Blaine D. Kilby.
Those left to cherish Jerald’s memory include, his wife of 50 years, Dean (Wright) Kilby; son, Richard Kilby and wife Lorie; daughter; Lisa Adams and her fiancé Michael Norton; all of Johnson City; grandchildren, Caitlin Lovin, Catherine Greene, and Joshua Adams; great grandson; Maverick Greene; two brothers; Frank Kilby and Jim Kilby, both of Jonesborough; sister; Mildred Gilman, Johnson City; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside and Committal Service for Mr. Jerald S. Kilby will be conducted at 2:30 PM, Friday, March 24, 2017 at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Everyone is asked to meet at Tetrick Funeral & Cremation Services, Johnson City on Friday at 2:00 PM to go in procession to the cemetery. The family will greet friends to share memories in the funeral home chapel on Friday from 1:00 PM till 2:00 PM.
