Mr. Jerry Scott Bailey, 74, of Lake City, Florida, a native and former resident of Elizabethton, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2018. He had been a resident of Lake City for the past thirty years having moved from Fort Lauderdale. Mr. Bailey was the son of the late Hoover and Pearl Bailey Honeycutt. Following his service in the United States Army, Mr. Bailey worked in construction specializing in painting. His interests included guns and hunting. Mr. Bailey was a Christian.
He is survived by his son, Brandon Bailey of Elizabethton, Tennessee; daughters, Rose Marie Bailey; and Elizabeth Ann Bailey Tackett of Chicago, Illinois; sisters, Dorothy Saffels (James) of Palmetto, Georgia; Louise Cauwenberghs of Cummings, Georgia and Kathy Berryhill (Gene) of Lake City, Florida.
Graveside funeral services with Military Honors will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 7, 2018 in the Happy Valley Cemetery in Elizabethton with Rev. Jerry Honeycutt officiating.
